Mission Statement

The mission of the Epsilon Beta Alumni Association is to preserve, strengthen, and advance the legacy of Sigma Nu at Drury University by supporting the development of honorable, high‑character young men. We unite alumni across generations to provide mentorship, financial support, and strategic guidance that empowers the active chapter to grow, thrive, and uphold the values that shaped our own lifelong brotherhood.

Our vision is to restore Epsilon Beta as a model chapter of Sigma Nu—vibrant, values‑driven, and built on genuine brotherhood. We strive for a future where alumni and actives work side by side to cultivate leaders, strengthen the bonds of friendship, and ensure that generations to come experience the same transformative brotherhood that shaped our lives.

The Epsilon Beta Alumni Association exists to:

Membership Philosophy

Membership in the Association is open to all initiated alumni who support the mission, values, and purpose of the Epsilon Beta Alumni Association.

Governance Structure

The Association shall be governed by a Board of Directors and an Executive Committee, whose composition, responsibilities, and election procedures are defined in the Bylaws. The Board provides strategic direction and fiduciary oversight, while the Executive Committee manages day‑to‑day operations in alignment with the mission and values of the Association.

Meetings & Communications

The Association is committed to transparent, consistent communication and regular opportunities for alumni engagement. Meetings and communication practices shall be conducted in a manner that fosters connection, accountability, and broad participation across generations of alumni. Specific procedures and schedules are defined in the Bylaws.

Financial Stewardship

The Association is committed to responsible, transparent financial management in support of its mission. All funds shall be used to strengthen the Epsilon Beta Chapter and advance the development of its members. Specific financial policies, budgeting procedures, and fund structures are defined in the Bylaws.

Programs & Initiatives

The Association shall develop and support programs that advance its mission, strengthen the Epsilon Beta Chapter, and promote the personal and professional growth of its members. Specific initiatives, including recruitment support, mentorship, leadership development, and financial assistance, are defined and administered according to the Bylaws.

Relationship to the Active Chapter

The Association supports the Epsilon Beta collegiate chapter as an independent, student‑led organization. Our role is to provide mentorship, guidance, and resources that strengthen the chapter’s long‑term success while respecting the autonomy and authority of the collegiate members. We seek to foster a collaborative partnership grounded in the values of Sigma Nu and focused on developing honorable, capable leaders.

Amendments

This Charter may be amended as needed to reflect the evolving mission and values of the Association. Procedures for proposing and approving amendments are defined in the Bylaws.

Annual Dues

$100 per year for alumni under 40.

$200 per year for alumni 40 and over.
